🌿 An Invitation Into the Unknown

An 8-Week Journey of Grief, Mystery, and Reclamation

October 2 - November 20, 2025 | West Stables, Houston, TX & Online
Limited to 8 participants

Grief changes us. It unmoors us. And if we’re willing, it can open the door to something sacred.

This is not a program about fixing, analyzing, or rushing to feel better. This is a space where the wildness of your sorrow is welcome. Where silence is honored. Where horses—ancient mirrors of the human soul—help us return to what is true.

Through the quiet rhythm of breath and hoofbeat, through story and stillness, you will be gently supported to walk with your grief, not around it.

No horse experience necessary. Only a willingness to listen, witness and be heard and seen.

💧 What You'll Experience:

Over the course of eight weeks, a small group of adults gathers in a gentle rhythm—online and in person—to explore the many faces of grief.

This journey unfolds in the sacred space of shared humanity and the ancient wisdom of horses.

We blend the power of intimate, facilitated circle with the quiet, mysterious presence of the herd. Together, we create a container for what is tender, stuck, hidden, or long buried—so it may be witnessed with compassion and care.

There is something unexplainable that happens when a human stands beside a horse in stillness.

Their grounded presence, their way of sensing beneath words, their ability to reflect our truest selves without judgment—it opens a door.

A door to parts of ourselves we may have forgotten. A door to grief that longs to move. A door to healing we didn’t know was possible.

This is not performance. It’s presence. And it’s powerful.

You will:

  • Be seen and heard in a held circle of fellow grievers who are also navigating their own tender terrain
  • Enter the round pen one-on-one with a horse, guided by Rune, to explore what your body, breath, and emotions reveal in the mirror of the herd
  • Engage in somatic and emotional intelligence practices that meet you exactly where you are—no fixing, no bypassing
  • Work with a custom grief workbook filled with weekly reflections, prompts, and practices to support your integration and insight
  • Honor your own pace, allowing time to unfold what’s ready and stay present with what’s not

The horses won’t ask you to be anything other than what you are.

In their presence, many people feel seen for the very first time—not for what they do, but for simply being.

This is the magic we return to each week.

And through it, something begins to shift.

We alternate between online community calls and onsite horse sessions at West Stables. This blend allows for time to integrate, reflect, and move at the pace of the body and the heart.

You’ll receive prompts, guidance, and support throughout—both in circle and in the quiet presence of horses.

The design of this journey invites you to be with your grief in new, healing ways.

Meet your Guide

Rune Christensen

Natural Leadership Facilitator

Rune Christensen is a certified coach in Conscious Leadership and Natural Leadership, a certified equine-assisted coach and facilitator, and an experienced grief guide. His presence is calm and grounded, shaped by years of guiding others—and by his own journey through profound personal loss, including the death of his 17-year-old daughter, Emilia.

Rune knows the terrain of grief not just as a guide, but as someone who’s walked it. That journey informs everything he brings to this work: deep empathy, quiet strength, and a rare ability to hold space without judgment or agenda. He understands that real healing doesn’t come from being “fixed”—but from being fully seen, supported, and gently invited back into connection with yourself.

Those who work with Rune often describe feeling safe, accepted, and deeply met—sometimes for the first time. With the horses as his partners, he offers a space where words aren’t always necessary, and where the body and spirit can speak what the mind may not yet know how to say.

Rune brings more than tools and training. He brings presence. Integrity. And a deep trust in your capacity to find your own way through.

This isn’t about moving on. It’s about learning to carry what’s been lost—and finding life again, in a way that’s real, honest, and yours.
